Praise for Gene
As you must know, Gene Simmons is a hugely influential figure not just in rock music, but to the world in general. As proud devotees of the great man, we have scoured the earth for others like us, who too can bask in the warm goldeny glow of His glory. We have conducted many interviews about Gene and here are some extracts:
Ozzy Osbourne
MU: Ozzy, hi. Tell me, what does Gene mean to you?
OO: Yeah, the guy's a f***ing God, isn't he?
MU: So KISS had a big influence on your music?
OO: Oh yeah, definately, man. I mean, we actually wrote the song Dirty Women about Gene.
MU: Er... Right... Anyway, do you think KISS are still as influential today as they were when there music first came out?
OO: Definately, but they're like, a bit tainted now because of all the f***ing shit they've endorsed!
MU: (Pulls out Ozzy Osbourne action figure and places it on the table)
OO: Shit.
Nelson Mandela
MU: Mr. Mandela, it's very good of you to find the time to talk to us.
NM: That's quite alright, it's just so good to know that Gene's still such an important figure to so many.
MU: Yes, so as a former world leader and Noble Peace Prize winner, how how Gene influenced you?
NM: Well, Gene has always been a very big figure in South Africa.
MU: Really? I didn't know that.
NM: Oh yes! You know without him I'd probably still be in prison and we'd still have apartheid.
MU: Really?! How so?
NM: Well KISS have always been politically important, their unique glam rock style holds an important lesson for us all. Gene particulary has all stood out against oppression, their music holds many subtle political meanings. For example, did you know that 'Rock and Roll All Night' was actually written in protest against the mine closures in Britain?
MU: Er...
NM: And the KISS make up is actually a stand against racism, with black and white together.
MU: Um, yes, well anyway I think that's about all we've got time for...
Gerry Adams
MU: Good morning, Mr. Adams. First, I must just say I wasn't really excepting to be able to interview you, so I'm very gra-
GA: What?! Why not?! That's slander and I have it on tape!
MU: I, well, sorry, I only meant that as a politician you must be very busy with-
GA: Well that's just unfounded nonsense! You have absolutely no evidence of that!
MU: It was just... Anyway, nevermind, can we please just talk about what Gene Simmons means to you?
GA: Certainly. Gene has always had a big a influence on my life, and I think that shows through in the way I lead the world, I mean, Northern Ireland.
MU: Right... What in particular about Gene is it that inspires you?
GA: Well I think it was the air of rebelion and destructive nature, I try to bring a lot of that destruction into the way I run my party.
MU: Er... You mean, in a metaphorical way, challenging tough political issues?
GA: No, no, I just mean in terms of actual destruction, you know? Blowing things up and such.
MU: Er... Right, well I see, well, anyway... Really must be off now... Lots of people to interview... Better go...
